Even though Phil Entzminger was born and partly raised in Salzburg, Germany, he primarily considers himself a New Yorker for the most part. That is, after all, where he spent most of his childhood and it is where he graduated high school. That part of his childhood seems to be the most indelible, since he is now a strong lover of baseball and he has a rabid devotion to the New York Mets baseball club, making it a point to go with the family to at least one Mets game every summer.
These days, one of Phil Entzminger’s greatest passions is travel, especially to one of his favorite cities, Helsinki, Finland. Phil was impressed with the healthy mix of city and rural life he experienced in Helsinki and one of his best memories included eating the best turnips anywhere while he was there. He took the family to Rome, were they made their own pasta and toured the Vatican. Soon after, Phil Entzminger and the family went to a safari park in South Africa, where they got up close and personal with lions, rhinoceros, elephants, and giraffes, among other wild animals.
